Ladies Plus Fours - Walnut Check Wool

Our stunning 'The Long Afternoon' Autumn/Winter Capsule proudly reintroduces our Iconic Plus Fours - for ladies, now available in our limited edition 'Walnut' Check Wool. This is a Super Limited edition version made in a specially sourced subtle autumnal small check 100% wool.

Step into the fading light of the 1930s, where leisure meets learning, and a crisp autumn breeze carries the promise of the season ahead. 

There are many photographs from the 1920s, 30s and 40s showing ladies wearing plus fours - for what we can only imagine were driving adventures, country walks or many other outdoor pursuits! There are also plenty of examples in catalogues of the time such as Sears not to mention patterns still remaining.

These are based on the plus fours from our brother  and have been adapted for the feminine figure. 

These fit on the natural waist with a deep waist band and have belt loops for a decent belt if wearer wishes. We love the 4 button side fastening - making the plus fours really elegant. Single back pocket keeps the lines sleek and unbulky.

Fully lined in viscose for warmth - these are full and darted into the bottom cuff which has a slide fastening for personal adjustment. These are meant to side approx 4 inches from the knee but person judgement required for most flattering fit. Those with very long legs may find them more of a plus 2!
